Built in the 1880s by H.W. Millard, the resort area known as Paradise Park was a favorite getaway for businessmen and their families from cities such as Syracuse, New York, and others wanting to escape the hectic pace of city life. Paradise Park had several cottages, docks including a steam-boat dock and Paradise Park Inn. The Inn was a three-story hotel that offered shaded walks and modern amenities and was considered to be the center of the resort. In the 1900s, the third story was removed and the Inn was converted to a residential cottage. It remained a private residence for a number of years.
Today, The Bluff maintains a rustic and traditional atmosphere, offering its guests all the comforts of home. There are two guest rooms with private baths. The rooms are tastefully decorated, each with its own style. Fresh bath towels are supplied daily and beach towels are available for swimming. Breakfast is served on the veranda each morning, overlooking beautiful Lake Ontario. In the event of inclement weather, meals are served in the cottage dining room.
